ABOUT YOU

We are a young team (still in stealth mode & launching in a few weeks) with a mission to become the zero-waste online supermarket you love. We combine sustainability and practicality to address one of the biggest waste problems of our time: plastic packaging. We deliver groceries to your door with our cargo e-bike fleet. To achieve zero-waste, we use our own system of reusable refill glasses (“Pfand”). We are getting started in Berlin and our goal is clear: become the #1 zero-waste Farm-to-Fork platform in Europe.

YOUR ROLE

As our first marketing manager, you will build our marketing strategy from the ground up and lead our efforts from end to end. You get to set up our core operations and build a team that prepares Alpakas for the big stage.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be our first marketing expert to join the team - in this position you define and start our marketing efforts leading up to and beyond our launch!

  • Own the marketing strategy and execution of all marketing activities of Alpakas (online & offline).

  • Plan, build, and execute marketing campaigns on all ad platforms to customer growth and retention.

  • Set up a marketing stack from scratch to launch and scale Alpakas in Berlin - all with a keen eye on our marketing budget and ROI.

  • Work closely with the founding team and develop our voice to our partners (customers, suppliers, communities) based on clear communication and a customer-first mindset.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • In-depth knowledge of building and communicating a scalable consumer brand.

  • Deep understanding of managing and scaling paid campaigns (Paid Social, Paid Search, Display, etc).

  • Who can leverage our initial marketing budget in an efficient way and identify opportunities for earned media (tell us what achievements made you proud)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Fluent in German and English.

  • Organizational superstar with a hands-on mentality.
